An ancient city at the gates of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. More than a century of archaeological research on the site of Glanum makes it possible to present the witnesses of an exceptional architectural ensemble. The local elites knew how to take advantage of the natural resources, the perennial source and the limestone, to adorn the city with a unique monumental setting in Provence. Located in the heart of the Alpilles massif, at the crossroads of major thoroughfares, the Gallic city was bathed in Greek and then Roman influences and experienced its full development from the 2nd century BC.
